Rick Riordan was born in 1964, in San Antonio, Texas, United States, where he lives with his wife and two sons. For fifteen years he taught English and history in public and private schools in San Francisco. Besides the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, he published the award-winning Tres Navarre mystery series for adults.
