Besides the wide book offering, the Book Biennial offers an intense cultural program, developed to awaken the taste for reading in more than 700 thousand people, among children, youths and adults.
Some activities are planned to make the program even more personal, during the 11 days of the event.
The organization of the 21st International Book Biennial of São Paulo invited a group of professionals with expressive knowledge in the area to enrich even more the cultural program of the event. Sociologist Danilo Santos de Miranda, director of SESC (Social Service of Commerce); physicist and engineer Hubert Alquéres, president-director of Imprensa Oficial do Estado de São Paulo; and poet, journalist and professor Augusto Massi were invited to the Council of Curators.
The three will generally contribute to the teams responsible for the cultural activities, attractions and events prepared for the 2010 Book Biennial. Each theme segment of activities will have a specific curator.
The cultural program of the fair will have as principal themes: Monteiro Lobato, Clarice Lispector, Digital Book and Lusophony.
